Marcella Intermediate School
A single-story intermediate school for grades 5 and 6, organized around grade-level learning communities, centralized administration, and shared instructional spaces.
Project Overview
Leonard & Glenda Marcella Intermediate School is a single-story educational facility originally opened in 2007 to serve grades 5 and 6 in Aldine Independent School District. The campus was designed with a durable structural steel frame, masonry exterior, and an efficient layout organized around grade-level learning communities, centralized administrative functions, and shared instructional spaces.
Comprehensive Program
The building includes general classrooms, specialized learning areas, a library, gymnasium, cafeteria, kitchen, and fine arts spaces that support a comprehensive educational program. Wide corridors, flexible instructional areas, and centralized student support spaces promote collaboration, supervision, and adaptability to evolving teaching methods.
Site Organization
The site is organized with separate parent and bus circulation, visitor and staff parking, playgrounds, and outdoor activity areas, creating a safe and functional environment for students and staff. Designed for long-term service and operational efficiency, the campus reflects Aldine ISD's commitment to providing flexible, durable, and student-centered educational facilities.
